Heidelberg Castle
First of all I'm making a note on the Heidelberg castle because due to the fact that while i was in Germany my classmates went to the expo con comic and later posted about what they saw. I'm posting about the Heidelberg castle.
Heidelberg Castle is a famous ruin in Germany and landmark of Heidelberg. The castle ruins are among the most important Renaissance structures north of the Alps.
Some of the most famous residents of the Heidelberg castle are >
FREDERICK V
ELIZABETH CHARLOTTE, PRINCESS PALATINE
CHARLES DE GRAIMBERG
Here are some of the pictures that i took...
This is the view from the castle
The castle viewed from the old bridge
This is the scale of the whole castle
On winter they filled this with water so it would freeze and people could be able to practice ice skating.

History of Guadalajara
The city of Guadalajara was established on 3 other different places before ending where it is now the first one was in 1532 in the city now called nochistlan, zacatecas. The second settlement was in 1533 near tonala and 4 years later the village was moved to tlacotan and the spanish king charles the 5th gave the city the coat of arms it has today. After the Mixton war in 1541 the city was finally moved to Atemajac.
Records of 1542 say that by that time there were 126 people living in Guadalajara, and now (2013) it is Mexico's second most populous municipality. The Guadalajara Metropolitan Area has a population of 4,328,584.
In 1667 the villages of Mezquitan, Mexicaltzingo and Analco were added to Atemajac.
Now a days Guadalajara has been rated as the "city of the future" because of its youthful population, large number of foreign investment deals and low unemployment and thats why it is the 3rd most business friendly city in all of North America.
Guadalajara also has the second strongest economic potential of any major North American city just behind Chicago.
Guadalajara is the 10th largest city in Latin America if it comes down to population .
Just like most municipalities in Mexico it is governed by a municipal president who "rules" for 3 consecutive years.
It is divided into 5 electoral districts for the purpose of election of representatives of the city in the federal legislature. The districts are - VIII, IX, XI, XIII and XIV.
Guadalajara has the same holidays that are famous all around mexico but also some that are only celebrated in Guadalajara such as -
- day of the kings on this date gifts that supposedly the kings deliver at night are exchanged.
-Guadalajara Film festival is usually celebrated on early to mid-march.
-day of the children its a holiday just like mothers or fathers day but for children!
-on May 4th to June 1st its the Jalisco cultural festival
-May 10th its mothers day.
-The first week of September we celebrate the Mariachi week and on this time several Mariachis from all over mexico and the world gather and its like a convention or expo.
-Through the month of october we have the October Festival and its a month long festival with concerts, rides, games, etc.
-In October 12 its a celebration to honor the patron saint of guadalajara (virgen de zapopan) and theres no classes also it is only celebrated in Guadalajara.

New Gym at UNIVA
Univa is finally about to finish the gymnasium (CEDEFI) that they have been doing for over 2 years and promoting it since long before. Students of the university and high school are excited to hear how is it going to work and when will be the grand opening. This will give a lot of good Publicity to the school and fame too. And here are some graphs about what the students of the high school think about the new "gym" and what are their expectations.
We did an opinion poll to 100 UNIVA students and this are the results.
MY OPINION
Well i think they have been really slow maybe not in the construction but yes in starting the project because they have been telling the students for a long time about it and yes maybe they have been kinda slow on the construction but not that much, first of all they never promised an exact date they just said that we will be still in the univa when they finished it and i also think it was a really cool project and that it will give a lot of fame to the univa and this way we will have smthg to do on our free time.
